Electrical & Lock-Out Tag-Out Permit Software
Lock-out tag-out fails in one specific way more than any other: the isolation was recorded but not verified, or verified by the same person who performed it. EZEE Portal keeps the isolator a separate, named, signing role.
What the permit governs
Work on or near electrical systems requiring isolation, lock-out and tag-out before it begins — panel work, cable work, motor maintenance, switchgear, and any task where stored or residual energy could re-energise equipment while hands are inside it.
A dedicated authorised isolator role
The system defines the authorised isolator as one of its seven roles, distinct from the permit issuer. The person who physically applies the lock and tag signs for having done so, and that signature is separate from the authorisation to proceed.
Collapsing those two into one approval is how a permit system produces a paper record of an isolation that never physically happened.
High-risk routing with EHS review
Electrical and LOTO permits run the eight-stage high-risk workflow, including Safety and EHS review before authorisation and periodic monitoring while work is live.
Stored energy is treated as its own hazard
The hazard catalogue carries stored energy separately from live electrical supply, because capacitors, springs, pressurised systems and suspended loads do not care that the main breaker is open. The permit lists it, and the controls attached to it have to be acknowledged.
Try it on your own site
A self-service trial provisions a working tenant with the standard catalogue already loaded, so you can run a real process rather than watch a demo.

Does the system separate the isolator from the approver?
Yes. Authorised isolator is one of seven distinct roles, separate from the permit issuer, so the person applying the lock and tag signs independently of the person authorising the work.
Is stored energy covered, or only live supply?
Stored energy is a separate hazard in the catalogue, with its own controls, alongside electrical supply hazards.
Can we attach our own isolation checklist?
Yes. The permit designer allows additional fields and checklist items on the electrical permit type, including plant-specific isolation points.
